Efficient use of resources is an important part of smart growth. The Massachusetts Water Resource Authority has proposed expanding its water resources to more communities around Massachusetts. The Smart Growth Alliance and other organizations seek to direct water expansion to communities with compact development.
The MWRA proposes expansion of water service. This expansion must occur with careful thought given to land use planning, low impact development consideration and ecologically friendly water treatment plans. |
